Peter Birchwood is a painter and illustrator working in the Midwest. He is known for his nostalgic themes and joyful, vibrant imagery. His distinctive personal style draws from vintage storybooks and classic cartoons from the 1950s and ‘60s. His colorful paintings celebrate his childhood memories and time spent in the great outdoors of Hayward, Wisconsin. He affectionately refers to his art as “Storybook Retro™”.
